Don\u2019t worry: you\u2019re the one giving the report card, and you\u2019re reporting on the performance of a piece of machinery that doesn\u2019t have feelings you can hurt. If your AC deserves and \u201cF,\u201d give it that \u201cF\u201d\u2014you\u2019ll be the one who benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

We recommend our customers consider the performance of their\nAC during the previous summer so they can evaluate if they need any additional service\nfor it, such as a repair, or if the time has come to replace it. Fall is a good\ntime to schedule an AC replacement because the temperatures are cooler and\nservice technicians have more open schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get started on the report card. Give your air conditioning\nsystem a grade, from \u201cA\u201d to \u201cF,\u201d based on how well it did over the past few months\u2014which\nincluded some serious heatwaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s great! Sounds like you have an air conditioner that did\nthe job you needed without any interruptions, and that it didn\u2019t cost more to\nrun than normal. We imagine you\u2019ve kept up with regular maintenance each spring,\nand we encourage you to follow through so you can give your AC an \u201cA\u201d next year\nas well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means you have a real problem during the season with\nyour AC, such as the system shutting down entirely, or requiring a major\nrepair.
